Unveiling the Inaugural Spirit of Cricket New Zealand Tour with Mark Kratzmann at the Helm

In a ground breaking development for cricket enthusiasts and sports aficionados alike, the Spirit of Cricket proudly unveils its maiden touring event in New Zealand, slated for March 2024. The tour, under the leadership of the esteemed former International Tennis Player, Mark Kratzmann from Queensland, promises an exquisite blend of cricketing prowess and camaraderie.

Anthony Telfer, the visionary Founder of Spirit of Cricket, expressed his infectious enthusiasm for the tour, sharing, "I identified a missing link for potential Internationals looking to strut their ability against international teams. When the Quad series came up, we contacted the tournament organizers, and they jumped at it."

The Spirit of Cricket Tour boasts a diverse ensemble of players from all corners of Australia, with a significant contingent from Queensland, including six players. New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania each contribute a player, showcasing the unity within the team. Adding an international flair, Aman Aktar will join the squad all the way from the USA.

The tour kicks off with two exhilarating games in Christchurch, where the Touring Australian O50's Team faces off against the Spirit of Cricket Touring Team, and another thrilling encounter against the Touring O50's USA team. As an added treat, players will witness the gripping clash between New Zealand and Australia at Hagley Oval during the test match's second day.

The journey continues as the team heads north to Blenheim via the picturesque Hanmer Springs, where they'll unwind in the rejuvenating hot springs, gearing up for the challenges ahead. In Blenheim, two riveting games await against an O50's World XI team, featuring players from New Zealand, the USA, and Australia. The tour perfectly aligns with the Quad Series, promising an enthralling spectacle as New Zealand, NZ A, the USA, and the Australian O50's teams compete.

Amidst the cricketing action in Blenheim, the team will take a delightful break to enjoy a Jet boat, Seafood & Wine Tour at Havelock, immersing themselves in the region's natural beauty and culinary delights. The grand finale unfolds in Nelson with a final game against the touring O50's USA team, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable cricketing journey.

Adding an extra layer of excitement to the tour, the Spirit of Cricket Touring Team has appointed former Australian International Test & ODI fast bowler Rodney Hogg as the Tour Ambassador. Known for his wit and personality, Hogg is expected to inject flavour, humour, and perhaps a touch of controversy, ensuring that this tour becomes a lifetime memory for all involved.
