The opportunity to join the Spirit of Cricket Masters XI in South Africa is closing fast.
Our revised Cape Town tour will run from 20–31 October 2026, delivering an action-packed 11-day cricket and travel experience.
With only three player places remaining, we require your Expression of Interest and firm intention to tour no later than Tuesday, 14 July so that accommodation and final tour arrangements can be secured.
This is not simply another overseas cricket tour. It is an opportunity to play competitive cricket, experience one of the world’s great cricket cities and enjoy premium access to the Australia versus South Africa Test Match at Newlands.
Two Days of Test Cricket at Newlands
Imagine watching Australia take on South Africa at the iconic Newlands Cricket Ground, surrounded by the dramatic backdrop of Table Mountain.
Tour members will attend the opening two days of the Test Match from the exclusive Spirit of Cricket Corporate Box, with lunch, beer, wine and soft drinks included.
Former South African fast bowler Garth Le Roux will join the group as a special guest on Day One, while South African cricket legend Barry Richards, our official Tour Ambassador, will be part of the experience on Day Two.
For cricket lovers, it is the type of access and hospitality that transforms a Test Match into a truly memorable occasion.
Represent the Spirit of Cricket Masters XI
The tour includes five matches in Cape Town, with games scheduled at some of the region’s well-known cricket clubs, including:
Western Province Cricket Club
Rondebosch Cricket Club Rondebosch Cricket Club
Groot Drakenstein Cricket Club
Cape Town Cricket Club
Claremont Cricket Club
The itinerary also includes a training session at Western Province Cricket Club, match lunches, prepared pitches, umpires, scorers, cricket balls, playing-kit laundry and live-streaming arrangements.
Players aged approximately 45 to 65 are invited to nominate for selection. Fourteen players will represent the Spirit of Cricket Masters XI, with partners and supporters also welcome to share the experience.
The cricket will be competitive, but the tour is built around much more than results. It is about mateship, sportsmanship, shared experiences and creating lifelong memories with like-minded cricketers.
Barry Richards: Tour Ambassador
We are honoured to have Barry Richards as the official Ambassador for the tour.
Widely regarded as one of the finest batters of his generation, Barry will join the touring group for special dinners and tour activities, providing an extraordinary opportunity to spend time with one of South Africa’s most respected cricket figures.
His involvement adds another unique dimension to a tour already filled with outstanding cricket experiences.

The Aquila safari includes breakfast and lunch and provides the opportunity to experience South Africa’s wildlife in a spectacular private reserve setting.

Interest in the revised tour has been strong, and we now have only three player positions available.
To protect our accommodation bookings and finalise the touring party, we need your Expression of Interest and confirmation of your intention to travel by Tuesday, 14 July.
This deadline is critical.
Waiting beyond Tuesday may mean missing the opportunity to be part of the tour.
