With the 2023 O50’s World Cup now complete and England crowned World Champions, we would like to acknowledge two awards from the closing ceremony the Spirit of Cricket were proud to partner & support.
The Spirit of Cricket awarded a daily Spirit of Cricket award in conjunction with Red Socks & Shooops across 56 games throughout the Tournament. The daily award was judged by both officiating umpires at each game with a presentation of a pair of "Red Socks".

John Jones, outgoing captain of the Wales Over 50s Cricket team received the tournament SOC award from Spirit of Cricket Hall of Fame members in Mike Proctor & Barry Richards.
John played his 100th match against the West Indies in the Plate Final.
2. #SpiritOfCricket Team of the Tournament was awarded to the Masters Cricket USA
