MICHAEL KASPROWICZ ANNOUNCED AS AMBASSADOR FOR GLOBAL SPIRIT OF CRICKET T20 TOURNAMENT IN MILDURA

The Spirit of Cricket Global Organisation is proud to announce former Australian Test cricketer and Cricket Australia Director Michael Kasprowicz as the official Ambassador for the 2025 Global Spirit of Cricket T20 Tournament, taking place in Mildura from 24th to 30th September.

Widely respected for his perseverance, team-first attitude, and 19-season first-class cricket career, Kasprowicz brings a unique blend of elite sporting experience, business insight, and community leadership to the event.

Best remembered for his gritty performances for Australia and Queensland, Kasprowicz was a key contributor during Australia’s 2004 Test victories in Sri Lanka and India. He famously came within two runs of a heroic escape during the unforgettable 2005 Ashes Test at Edgbaston, displaying the resilience and heart that defined his career.

“I’m thrilled to be part of this wonderful event. While the Spirit of Cricket inspires every player to spend more time in the middle, its greatest gift is the memories made with your mates in the dressing room,” said Kasprowicz.

Off the field, Kasprowicz has established himself as a successful businessman, board director, and international trade consultant. He has served as a Director on the Cricket Australia Board for 8.5 years and was interim CEO of Queensland Cricket in 2016. He is also the founder of Venture India, a consultancy firm that fosters trade between Australia and India.

Kasprowicz is set to spend the week in Mildura.com actively engaging with local businesses, franchise teams, players, and the broader community – embodying the Spirit of Cricket’s mission to inspire connection through sport, culture and opportunity.

In addition to his cricketing achievements, Michael is a sought-after speaker who draws on his elite sport and business backgrounds to deliver powerful messages on leadership, communication, discipline and teamwork. His insights are as relevant in the boardroom as they are on the cricket field.

The 2025 Global Spirit of Cricket T20 Tournament will welcome veteran players and franchise teams from around the world, all united by a love for cricket and a commitment to the Spirit of the game.

With the exciting Live Player Draft scheduled for Sunday 29th June, both players & Franchise Owners expectations are high for another successful 2025 Spirit of Cricket Festivale.

The second edition promises more cricket for the players, two games under lights each day, and matches at the iconic Mildura Precinct Oval. The 2025 Festivale is shaping up to be even bigger and better than Season #1.
