Welcome to the the inaugural Season 1 African Player Draft for the Spirit of Cricket T20 African Conference, taking place in Cape Town from 10–16 October 2026.

SPIRIT OF CRICKET SEASON 1

Eight teams will go head-to-head in one of the most exciting tournaments on the global masters cricket calendar, bringing together players from across Africa to compete in high quality T20 cricket played in the true Spirit of Cricket – playing hard & fair, with respect, sportsmanship and gratitude both on and off the field.

Teams include the Pink Panthers , EV2, Vintage Masters, Match Masters, The Sandgropers & DriveAbout Angels & Rawson Rebels .

All players are also invited to nominate via the form below to be eligible for selection in the 2026 Player Draft.

Below are important dates for you calendar.

• Registrations Open: Saturday 4th June 2026
• Nominations Close: 31st July 2026
• Draft Night: 9th August 2026
• Tournament Dates: 10–16 October 2026

Players selected by one of the eight teams will be notified following the draft, with full player payment required upon selection to confirm participation in the tournament.

Nomination Process:

To be eligible for the Player Draft, must turn 50 prior to midnight 31st December 2026. All players must complete the nomination form and submit the A$45 (Approx R500) nomination fee.

The nomination fee is non-refundable, however all nominated players will receive a Spirit of Cricket Discount Card, providing access to exclusive offers and discounts from our commercial partners and team partners.

This provides ongoing value to players regardless of draft selection and connects participants to the growing global Spirit of Cricket network.

Once selected you will receive an invoice for the tournament for A$478.00, (Approx R5500)
